Project Timeline

Please see below an indicative timeline for the delivery of the Hybrid Planning Application. 
January – June 2021: Site Surveys

Onsite surveys and investigations such as noise monitoring, topographical surveys, ecological assessments and ground investigations, to understand constraints and inform our initial plans for the site.

February – April 2021: Early Stakeholder Engagement

Engagement with key stakeholders to provide local knowledge and insight to help shape our initial thoughts for the Friar Park site.

Monday 10th May: Phase 1 Consultation Launches

Six-week consultation to present first thoughts and masterplan options. This will provide people an opportunity to:

  • review what has been presented;
  • ask questions about the information; and
  • provide feedback to inform further development of the plans.

Deadline to submit feedback is midnight on 20th June 2021.

2022: Phase 2 Consultation

Second phase of consultation to present preferred masterplan. This will provide people the opportunity to:

  • view how their feedback has informed the development of the plans; and 
  • provide final comments ahead of finalising the proposals.

We will be completing numerous technical reports to inform the supporting documents for the Planning Application which include:

  • Scheme Masterplan and Parameters Plans
  • Planning Statement
  • Environmental Statement
  • Transport Assessment and Travel Plan
  • Remediation Strategy
  • Design and Access Statement
  • High-level Design Code
2022: Application Submission
2022: Application Decision

As part of the decision process for the application, the Local Planning Authority will undertake further public and technical consultation. It is hoped that the application decision will be made by March / April 2022 to enable development on site to commence by the end of 2022.
